David Banner

David Banner is the main character in the Incredible Hulk TV series. Dr. Banner turns into the Hulk, a 7-foot primitive green creature, when angered. As a research scientist, David Banner performs an experiment examining the effects of gamma radiation on physical strength. Experimenting on himself, David Banner overdoses with a dangerous amount of gamma rays.

Days after the laboratory accident, David Banner has car trouble. Injuring himself while changing a bad tire, David Banner becomes enraged. His anger and pain led to his first transformation into the Incredible Hulk. David Banner awoke after his episode unsure of what had transpired. His clothes were torn, but David Banner had no recollection of his metamorphosis.

Dr. David Banner begins to investigate and study his condition. He realizes that his change into the Incredible Hulk is sparked by anger or stressful situations. As Banner spends his trying to find an antidote to his condition, he must evade a nosey reporter who is determined to expose the true identity of the Incredible Hulk.
